Nick Friedman explains why he and his partner, Omar Soliman, decided to franchise the company

Nick Friedman, Co-Founder and President of College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving, was recently invited to participate in an Inc.com video series called The Playbook, in which founders, CEOs and other successful entrepreneurs share their advice on building successful organizations. These short videos cover a variety of industries, including junk hauling and moving, and even a little College Hunks history.

In this first video, Friedman explains what the early days of starting a junk removal business were like and why he and Co-Founder Omar Soliman decided to franchise.

In this second video, Friedman describes how early in College Hunks history, he realized he needed to stop driving the moving van and start thinking about long-term growth.

Friedman and the College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving team follow this playbook and more every day, which accounts for the tremendous growth the company has experienced in recent years. After starting out with one franchise in 2008, we have expanded to over 100 locations nationwide, with more opening every month.
