Our work in the junk removal industry has allowed us to get involved in a number of initiatives over the years, working with various organizations to help serve under-resourced groups and individuals. Going the Extra Mile for Goodwill
We partnered with Goodwill to help reduce waste and support job training programs. Goodwill is a nonprofit organization that benefits individuals with disabilities and other disadvantages by helping them develop skills and providing them with employment opportunities. We only donate items that are in good condition, such as clothing and furniture, to Goodwill stores, and we encourage all our franchise partners to do the same.
Helping Habitat for Humanity ReStore
Our partnership with Habitat for Humanity ReStore allows us to help provide affordable housing to families in need. Habitat for Humanity is also a nonprofit organization that works to build and repair homes for families in need. We donate items that can be sold at their store locations, such as appliances, furniture, and building materials.
Providing Free Services to PickUpMyDonation.com
Working in this industry has also allowed us to establish a partnership with PickUpMyDonation.com – a company that helps individuals and organizations donate items to local nonprofits. PickUpMyDonation.com is a free service that connects individuals and organizations with local nonprofits in need of donations. We work with them by providing moving and hauling services for donated items.
Helping to Ease Hunger
We have partnered with U.S. Hunger to help in the fight against hunger across the country. U.S. Hunger is a nonprofit organization that works to provide food for individuals and families below the poverty line. We assist by donating a portion of our proceeds to this important organization. In recent years, we’ve donated over 3,000,000 meals and plan to donate over 10,000,000 in the very near future.
Doing More With Our Domestic Violence Initiative
Giving back to communities that are underserved and under-resourced is something we’re so passionate about that we’ve launched our own initiative to help victims of domestic violence. We use our resources from the junk hauling industry to help local shelters and organizations by providing moving and storage services for victims of domestic violence who are transitioning into new homes. Because our business also provides moving services as well as junk hauling, we began offering free moves of domestic violence during the COVID lockdown and we still work with battered women’s shelters. Recently, we moved a woman who had been in a shelter for four months into a new home and provided all of the furniture for free – as they were donations from our junk hauling business!
