GETTING STARTED

Before you apply.

No. Most franchise owners come from outside the industry. The model is built for operators, not technicians. Your crew handles the physical work. You manage the business, with full training and ongoing coaching from the corporate team in Tampa.

Minimum $75K liquid capital and $200K net worth. Beyond the financial requirements, the franchise team looks for leadership ability, comfort managing a team, and alignment with the H.U.N.K.S. culture. Industry experience is not required.

Typically 90 to 120 days from signing the franchise agreement. The discovery process (before signing) takes 4 to 8 weeks depending on your pace. After signing, the launch timeline covers training, territory setup, initial marketing, and your first hires.

A structured series of conversations, not a sales pitch. You’ll start with a 20-minute intro call, then move through territory analysis, FDD review with your attorney, franchisee validation calls, and finally a Discovery Day at Tampa HQ. You can pause or exit at any point.

INVESTMENT

Money questions.

$203,100 to $355,500, including the franchise fee, equipment, vehicles, and working capital. The range depends on market-specific variables like real estate and vehicle costs. Every line item is documented in the 2026 FDD, Item 7.

Yes. College HUNKS is an SBA-approved franchise brand. Many franchisees finance a significant portion through SBA 7(a) loans. The franchise team can connect you with lending partners who already know the brand.

7% royalty on gross revenue plus a 2% brand fund contribution. These fees fund the national marketing engine, call center, technology platform, and coaching infrastructure that drive your business.

Yes. Qualifying veterans and first responders receive a discount on the initial franchise fee. Qualified U.S. veterans (51%+ ownership) receive a $7,500 discount (2026 FDD, Item 5).

A junk removal franchise can range from low five-figure fees to several hundred thousand dollars all in. A College HUNKS franchise runs $203,100 to $355,500 total, because you launch two revenue streams, junk removal and moving, on one truck instead of one. That figure includes the franchise fee, equipment, vehicles, and working capital, all documented in the 2026 FDD, Item 7. A single-service, junk-only brand may cost less up front, but it caps how much you can earn per job.

It is a demand-resilient one. Moving and junk removal track life events like relocations, downsizing, estate clear-outs, and office turnover that keep happening in any economy. In 2025, the average College HUNKS location generated $1.55M in gross sales, and operators with five or more years averaged $1.99M (2026 FDD, Item 19). Gross sales are not profit and individual results vary, but the dual-service model lets you monetize the same job twice on a single dispatch.

OPERATIONS

Running the business.

No. The model is designed for operators who build teams. You hire and manage the crew. The system handles lead routing, scheduling, and dispatch. Most successful owners spend their time on team building and business development.

Inbound leads are routed to the call center, which books jobs directly onto your schedule. The center handles after-hours calls, reschedules, and follow-ups. You manage the calendar and the crew.

A multi-week training program at Tampa HQ, plus ongoing field support. Training covers both service lines, the CRM and dispatch tools, hiring and team management, local marketing execution, and financial management.

You get an exclusive protected territory. No other College HUNKS franchisee operates in it. Territory size is based on population density and market potential.
